Overview

Kubb Coach is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Data Collection and Storage

Kubb Coach stores your personal training data in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

If you choose to participate in the optional leaderboard feature, certain training statistics and a display name you provide are also stored on our servers (see Leaderboard section below).

Data Types Stored Locally / in iCloud:

• Training session records (date, time, throw results, accuracy statistics)
• Personal preferences and app settings
• Training goals and achievements
• Device type information (iPhone or Apple Watch) for sync purposes

Leaderboard Feature

The leaderboard is an optional feature. Participation requires submitting a display name of your choosing. We do not require an email address, Apple ID, or any other identifying information.

How it works:

• When you first view or submit to the leaderboard, the app signs in anonymously using a randomly generated device identifier (UUID). This ID is not linked to your Apple ID, iCloud account, name, or email.
• The anonymous ID is stored securely in your device's Keychain.
• If you choose to submit your stats, the following data is sent to our servers: your chosen display name, training accuracy, session counts, throw counts, longest hit streak, and mode-specific metrics (blasting scores, inkasting cluster radius).
• Your leaderboard entry is publicly visible to other users of the app (display name and stats only).

Leaderboard data is not:

• Linked to your real name, email, or Apple ID
• Used for advertising or sold to third parties
• Combined with data from other apps or services

Third-Party Service — Supabase:

Leaderboard data is stored and served by Supabase, a database platform whose servers are located in the United States. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your data for any purpose other than operating the leaderboard. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

Camera and Photo Library Access

Kubb Coach requests camera and photo library access solely for the Inkasting training mode to analyze kubb placement using computer vision. All photo processing occurs locally on your device. We do not store, upload, transmit, or access these photos unless you explicitly choose to save them.

iCloud Synchronization

Training sessions may be synchronized between your devices (iPhone and Apple Watch) using your personal iCloud account. This data is stored in your private CloudKit database and is not accessible to us, Apple (beyond standard iCloud infrastructure), or any third parties.

Data Control

You have full control over your data:

• All local training data can be deleted from within the app
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in iOS Settings
• Deleting the app removes all local data from your device
• You can delete your iCloud data through the app's Settings
• You can remove your leaderboard entry at any time from within the app — this permanently deletes your display name and stats from our servers

Third-Party Services

Kubb Coach does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service used is Supabase for the optional leaderboard feature, as described above.

Children's Privacy

Kubb Coach does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The leaderboard feature requires users to be at least 13 years of age. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted leaderboard data, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your Rights

For training data stored in iCloud, you have direct control through the app or your iCloud settings. For leaderboard data stored on our servers, please use the in-app deletion option or contact us at the email above.
